History
The Duchesse of Berry spent the nights of the 18, May 19th, 20th and 21st 1832 with the castle of Bellecour.
In 1954, Geneston and Montbert separate. Geneston will be set up in commune in 1955.

“ Of mouths to the gold band charged with a léopardé sand lion, armed and lampassé of mouths; with the chief of money charged with three corn ears dependant of a vine branch fruity on dextral and broken into leaf of a part to sinistral, accosted with dextral of three mouchetures of hermine, ordered 2 and 1, and with sinistral of an emptied and croiseté dual-core, the sand whole”. Creation Andre David, Mayor, 1985.
It is a crack of the weapons of the Menou with the lion of the Cart of Contrie. With the chief: the hermines point out the past Breton commune, the emptied dual-core, crowned and croiseté the proximity of the the Vendée indicates, while the vine branch binding 3 corn ears shows the cultures carried out on the communal ground.
