Moderate (musical theory)

In the Western music, one calls nuances a whole of signs noted on a partition, having for function to indicate the relative intensity of a note, a sentence, or of a whole passage of a musical work. The succession of the nuances and the interpretation that makes the Musicien of it restore the dynamic work.
As of the 18th century, the Compositeur S take the practice to note the nuances by means of various Italian terms - most of the time, only their abbreviations are used - and of some other signs, placed above or below the carried.
