Starting from the second birthday, MobyGames starts to support other platforms, initially the last consoles of the time like the PlayStation, then the traditional systems were added. One of the events of most significant the east can be the creation of a petition on line to claim the support of ZX Spectrum. This platform was added at the end of 2004, and a year later 1000 plays were documented.

The additions of 2005 include the platforms MSX, Amstrad CPC, TRS-80, Palm OS, Windows Mobile, Java ME, XBox 360 and Gizmondo. According to David Berk, new platforms are added once there is enough information to conceive the structure necessary for them in the database, but also as soon as there are sufficient people wanting to validate on this new platform. In 2006, Atari 8-bit and the TDCI were added in the base of data. The Apple Macintosh is perhaps the system less documented on the site currently, Micro BBC is not either present.
