Mitchell Feigenbaum
Mitchell Jay Feigenbaum (Philadelphia, December 19th, 1944 -), physicist American theorist.

1964 : studying with MIT.

1970 : Doctorate with MIT; under the direction of Francis Low, he studies the relations of dispersion in Quantum theory of the fields.

1975 : discovered scenario of transition towards chaos by doubling from period, at the time of a stay in Los Alamos. This transition is characterized by two universal constants, batptized since “Nombres of Feigenbaum” in its honor.
