Missionaries of Invaluable-Blood
The Missionnaires of Invaluable-Blood form a religious congregation founded Catholique in Italy in 1815 by Saint Gaspare Del Bufalo.
Gaspare Del Buffalo (1786 - 1836) was a young person priest (and canon) Roman who refused to lend oath of fidelity to Napoleon 1st which required it priests of the States Pontificaux. It had to leave Rome in 1808 and to hide not to be imprisoned. It was it however in 1814.
The Napoleonean storm passed, it amounted and was put preaching in all central Italy, deprived priests during several years. To be helped in this mission, it founded in 1815 the congregation of the Missionnaires of Invaluable-Blood, then, in 1834, that of the Sœurs of Invaluable-Blood dedicated to the education of the young girls.
