Minigolf

The Minigolf or miniature golf is a play of Golf being played on tracks from approximately 1 meter broad and 6-15 meters length with obstacles.

Rules

  • 18 tracks
  • the goal is to play on the 18 tracks by carrying out the minimum of blows
  • On each track, a maximum of 7 blows is possible
    • If the ball is not in the hole with the 6th blow, then one notes 7 blows.
    • If an obstacle did not pass after 3 blows, the ball is placed after the obstacle and one counts 4 blows and one continues the play on this track. (not allowed in the tournaments)
  • If the ball is too much close to the edge or too close to an obstacle, one brings back it on the line of delimitation of the track.

Types of tracks

  • Béton
    • a track is 12 m length (100 Bongni), a smaller version exists (80% Bongni)
  • Eternit/T-5000:
    • a track built in Eternit or concrete is 6.25 m length
  • Feutre
    • a track with a felt coating with obstacles out of wooden, is up to 15 m length.
    • the course is done in a choice of 30 tracks

Minigolf of leisure

In France, courses of minigolf are frequent close to the camp-sites and the holiday places. They are often open only for the summer periods. Their quality is very variable. Mini golf make it possible to organize competitions of the national level at the departmental level thanks to the French federation of Minigolf.
