Heraldic
Blasonnement of the traditional weapons of the town of Mills: Money“with three cross molines of sand open of the iron field of mill; with the chief of azure charged with three flowers of gold lily. ”Money
as brought back in the Large encyclopedic Larousse (1960).
“with three sand cross molines two and one; with the chief of azure, charged with three flowers of gold lily. ”
as brought back by Malta-Brown, in illustrated France (1882).
According to the bank of the blazon, the cross molines are graphic deformations of the anchor-ties or irons of mill which were used to assujétir the grinding stones. It thus seems that both blasonnements are identiques.
However the precision " out of iron of moulin" indeed useless for the reading with the advantage of underlining the fact that it is about speaking Armes.
Blasonnement of Malta-Brown the opening of the center of the crosses (" does not mention; opened champs") and the position " mentions unnecessarily; two and un" who is the position by défaut.
The two readings detail the known chief unnecessarily of France. A more rigorous reading would be thus:
- " Of money with three cross molines of sand open of the field; with the chief of France"
