Mike Beebe

Mike Paves Beebe (born the December 28th 1946 in Amagon, Arkansas), is a American Politician , member of the Democratic party, Attorney General of the Arkansas since 2003 and governor elected since the November 7th 2006. It returns in function the January 9th 2007.

Personal life

Mike Beebe was born in Amagon, a small town of the county of Jackson in Arkansas. It was raised by his mother, a waitress, and forever known his father.

It passed its childhood and its adolescence to the liking of displacements of his mother and thus lived with Detroit, Saint-Louis, Chicago, Houston and Alamogordo, New Mexico before returning in Arkansas where it finished its secondary studies in 1964.

In 1968, it is graduate in Political sciences of the university of Arkansas then in right in 1972.

He is reservist in the US Army.

Beebe is married and has three children.

Political career

After its studies of Right, it spends 10 years to Searcy where it works like Juriste.

In 1982, it is elected with the senate of Arkansas where it sits during the 20 years which follow.

In 2002, it is elected Attorney General of Arkansas.

The June 14th 2005, Beebe announced its candidature for the democratic primary educations of the election of governor.

The November 7th 2006, it is elected governor of the Arkansas with 55% of the voices compared with 41% with the republican Asa Hutchinson, 2% with the candidate ecologist, Jim Lendall and 2% with the independent candidate Rod Bryan.
