Miguel Rolle

Neil Gordon Kinnock, baron Kinnock , born with Tredegar on March 28th, 1942, is a British politician member of the Workers party. He is today president of the British Council.

He was chief of the Workers party and chief of the Opposition of 1983 to 1992, during the mandates of Margaret Thatcher and John Major, but with failed twice, at the time of the elections of 1987 and 1992, to bring back the left to the capacity. He was member of the Parliament of 1970 to 1995, initially for the district of Bedwellty then for that of Islwyn, in the Monmouthshire.

He was then member of the European commission of 1995 to 2004, being initially in charge of transport in the Commission Santer, then vice-president of the Commission and in charge of the administrative reform in the Commission Prodi.

In spite of its criticisms former against the House of Lords, the weather agreed into 2005 to be been even with life, with the title of “baron Kinnock, Bedwellty in the county of Gwent”.
