Microsoft Outlook Express

Microsoft Outlook Express is a customer owner of email and newsgroup installed by defect with the operating system Microsoft Windows. It is also available free to the remote loading for the old versions of the operating system of Apple, but not for Mac OS X on which it was replaced by Microsoft Entourage sold with Microsoft Office for Macintosh.

Microsoft Outlook Express became a customer of email spread in the Windows world (although competed with by the free software Thunderbird), in particular because of its inclusion in Microsoft Windows of Microsoft Windows 95 OSR 2 with Microsoft Windows XP, this in spite of the presence of security breaches that Microsoft tries to fill with the passing of years. On the last version of Windows: Microsoft Windows Vista, Outlook is replaced by Microsoft Windows Mail.

Finally Microsoft Outlook Express is known by the users of Usenet for the implementation of the practice called TOFU ( text over, fullquote under ) considered as bad by the Nétiquette because it breaks the wire of the discussions.
