Michel Lajoye

Michel Lajoye , born the April 19th 1967 with the Dézert (Handle) in a family of farm laborers is militant a French of Extreme-right-hand side imprisoned for a Bomb attack in an Arab coffee of the Petit-Quevilly made in 1987.

Michel Lajoye adheres to the National front at the beginning of the Années 1980 whereas he is still high-school pupil, but leaves it quickly, estimating that this party is not radical enough. In 1984, it joined the French Œuvre, then, the following year, it engages in the army. He becomes lance sergeant, which gives him access to stocks of weapons of its base.

He is recruited at the end of March 1986 by the Management of the protection and the safety of the defense (DPSD) which charges it with infiltrating various bunches of extreme right-hand side then the GALL, an anti-ETA organization, but he refuses the operation and deserted. He is stopped in January 1987 in possession of weapons. He is condemned in August 1987 to two years of prison including one with deferment.

After its release, Lajoye is contacted by a former member of the French Œuvre, Arcini, civil servant of the State in charge of mineclearing operations. This one persuades it to carry out a series of racist actions in Normandy. Some time afterwards, a bomb deposited by Michel Lajoye will explode in an Arab coffee of the Petit-Quevilly the November 30th 1987 without making casualties. Lajoye and Arcini will be stopped in Le Havre the December 10th 1987.

Michel Lajoye was condemned to the life imprisonment together with minimum recommended sentence a 18 years. Such a judgment for an act not having made that property damages was regarded by certain as particularly severe and involved protests of various political circles.

In 2002, Michel Lajoye published his autobiography, Condamné to the life imprisonment , the Dualpha editions. It is prefaced by the terrorist Carlos and is postfacée by the revolutionary nationalist militant Christian Bouchet. Michel Lajoye reports there how the attack which it made tie-beam in a general plan of provocation and how Arcini worked according to him for the services of the State.

Various actions of solidarity with Michel Lajoye took place which exceeded its political family of origin. Among those two petitions required its thanks to the president of the Republic. Second had place after the Room of application of the sorrows had refused its release, at the conclusion of its minimum recommended sentence, with the request express of the Licra.

Call having been made of this decision, the Court of application of the sorrows of Troyes returned on this one and decided that Michel Lajoye could profit from one year a probatory semi-freedom. At the conclusion of this one, it will be in probatory freedom for one seven years duration. The TAP matched this setting in parole of measurements which will apply until 2015:

“Prohibition to enter in relation to any political party and/or paramilitary grouping or not, of extreme right-hand side or preaching racial discrimination or the revisionism, to appear in any public demonstration, to diffuse any work or works audio-visual of which he would be the author or the joint author who would relate in whole or part to the made infringement on November 30th, 1987 and to abstain from any public intervention relative to this infringement”.

In November 2007, the European Député Mario Borghezio of the Ligue of North (Italy) was committed to visit Michel Lajoye in Clairvaux and consulting the French authorities about it.

It left prison on November 26th, 2007.
