Mellona

In the Roman Mythology, Mellona or Mellonia (of the Latin mel , “the Honey”) were protective Ruche S and bees. It was supposed to avenge those for which honey constituted a means of subsistence, when it had been stolen to them or that one had undermined the one their hives.

Saint Augustin makes state in of it the City of God , delivers IV , chapter XXXIV :
