Mechanic of engine
Mechanic of engine is the denomination of a work station in the railway haulage companies.
In France, the mechanic of engine is a Cheminot whose function is to lead the engine of a train. He is generally posted in the cabin of the engine, but can sometimes order the engine by means of remote control-radio. He is responsible for the good walk of his convoy.
In North America, it is placed under the orders of the Conductor.
