Maurice Bourges-Maunoury
Maurice Bourges-Maunoury , born on August 19th 1914 with Shining (Eure-et-Loir), deceased on February 10th 1993 with Paris, was a Politician French.

Political commitment
It engages in the Résistance, where it is friendly of Jacques Delmas (called Chaban in Resistance), and of Felix Gaillard. It is wounded on September 2nd 1944, it receives de Gaulle the cross of Compagnon of the Release. It becomes in 1945, police chief of the Republic with Bordeaux. It is one of young Turkish of the Parti radical socialist. It is located at the right-hand side of this party.
Co-operation with Israel
In 1953, Shimon Peres is named managing director of the ministry for the defense of Israel. In this function, it is implied particularly in the purchase of weapons for the young State of Israel. It goes to France in 1954 and makes the meeting of Abel Thomas, managing director of the ministry for the Interior, which introduces its minister Maurice Bourges-Maunoury to him. Together, they set up a collaboration between the intelligence services in the fight against the Egyptian common enemy shown by France to support the Algerian freedom fighters. In 1956, Bourges-Maunoury becomes Minister for Defense in the government of Guy Mollet. A close cooperation free-Israeli starts. Ve République
He is opposed to the return of De Gaulle to the capacity and fact countryside against the constitution of Ve République.He is candidate in the Moors with the legislative elections of 1973. But, in spite of the support of the majority, he does not manage to return to the National Assembly, vis-a-vis Servan-Schreiber, president of the radical party.
