--> The man of the match is incontestably Dimitri Yachvili. Whereas it was not titular at the beginning of the tournament, it benefits from the wound of Jean-Baptiste Élissalde and carries out a great performance: it marks one of the two French tests after a large bridge on the back Josh Lewsey and offers the second to Imanol Harinordoquy on a master key with the foot. With in more one transformation and four penalties, it registers 19 of the 24 points of the XV of France. For the moment it is an copy-adhesive integral has wikifier….

ALMOST A RELIEF What to say after a similar afternoon, if it is not that this defeat is almost a relief? Because if we had carried it, the endemic problems would have been swept once again by success. On the contrary, we failed, of little all the same, and the French leaders find themselves vis-a-vis their responsibility. Perhaps that will not change anything, but at least we will be able to cherish the hope that failure is born the change.
The match was very open in the play, but rather average technically. Many faults of hand, some decisive errors French side, a play with the approximate foot of the two teams… France made a very good first half, transpiercing the Irish defensive curtain easily but failing inevitably some encablures of the unfavourable line, the most obvious examples being the forward pass of Knell for Bory, and at any beginning of second period the test gathered the grapes by Dal Maso too greedy can almost regard these the first 5 minutes of the 2nd half-time as a prolongation of the first. On the contrary, the Irishmen gratifié us of an exceptional offensive realism during this period, with a first test of their center of dream.
In short, the Blue ones do not transfer at the beginning of second period that with a weak advantage of 12 points, not what to exhaust the Irish heats with 30 mn of the end. And it is the moment that the French choose to weaken physically, incompetents to take a lead in their impacts offensive, and taken speed by the two green centers. Henderson bores and serves impeccably O' Driscoll, more than 5 points of delay. The Blue ones make fault vis-a-vis their posts a few minutes later, believe in the whistle of the referee when the balloon rolls by ground during some tenths of a second, and O' Driscoll benefits from it to collect the balloon and to plant a new test between the posts. 1 point of delay (Merceron had passed a penalty meanwhile). A few moments later, Humphreys is found one year earlier with the balloon of gains in the feet, but does not tremble and makes a success of its penalty of 35m. 2 points in advance and it is not a French offensive shy person in the last moments which will change no matter what is. Victoire deserved of Ireland by 27 to 25.
Which lesson to draw? Individually, one will note the excellent service of Bory, very available and percussion, and a Thomas Lièvremont of the great days who could have gained his gallons of holder. Overall, it would seem relevant to make play Pelous and Benazzi in 2nd line, to keep Costes, Magne and Lièvremont in third. Vis-a-vis very mobile players, large Abdel did not seem very percussion in defense and the frequent passages of 12 and 13 Irish in full center of the ground are due to the absence of the third line in this sector. Brouzet would then be used as substitute in Benazzi and Mallier or Chabal in Costes. Side disappointments, the very average hinge, with a catastrophic match of Laussucq, incompetent to connect at an high speed with that of a snail, and Merceron certainly correct but in lower part from my point of view of Penaud or Lamaison. Lastly, Knells and Desbrosses completely failed in defense, incompetents of against Henderson and especially O' Driscoll. Venditti and Dourthe could find their good very quickly…
But the principal element explaining the defeat is the complete lack of preparation of this team. Chambouler with 100% the back lines implies automatisms to be recreated, difficult to find in 5 days. That had been the big problem of Blue last year, it is again the case this year. On all the attacks in first hand, the few combinations launched by the French three-quarters having pitifully failed on the green defenders. The absence of use of Bernat-Rooms is guilty, the more so as it had shown beautiful intentions as of the first moments of the match. The technique Laporte D ugenre returns-inside has its limits.
The Irishmen have me agreeably surprised in any case. Large volume of play, lêché play of the backs, exceptional talent of O' Drsicoll, which with him only created all Irish spaces in French central defense and large defense, in short of the modern play. Gatland, in the tread of the astonishing team of Munster, made a success of the change of XV Irish, however dying man after the last World cup. Congratulations with all, and confirm all that in fifteen days. As for the remainder, there is not any more but to invite the players to strike, the leaders to be resigned, the championship to be passed to 12,14 or 16 clubs maximum. If not, every year, it will be same the rengaine. And us to start to weary us seriously. Because to pay 184F/mois to see a championship without interest or 700F to attend a pitiful defeat of Blue, that will end up irritating everyone. Then if you do not want to disappoint your public, change. If not, I turn over to my gardening, definitively…
