Massimo Stanzione
Massimo Stanzione or Stanzioni (Orta di Atella, Caserta, ~ 1585 - Naples, ~ 1658) is a painter Italy N.
He was the pupil of Fabrizio Santafede, enriched his formation with Rome about 1617 while directing himself towards an eclectic painting which find its inspiration in various works of Caravage, Guido Reni, Artemisia Gentileschi and a less elaborate Neapolitan production.
Of his abundant production one can retain his frescos and fabrics for the vault San Mauro (1631-1637) and for the vault Battista (1644-1651) in chartreuse San Martino with Naples.
Bernardo Cavallino was its pupil.
