Marvel Knights

Marvel Knights is the name of a label of Marvel Comics created in 1998 by Joe Quesada and Jimmy Palmiotti.
The label
The two artists who worked then for their own company, Event Comics, were engaged to create this label. They were the charged ones there to emphasize supporting characters while engaging of the creative teams able to give them a new breath, possibly with more mature elements.The first series concerned were:
- Daredevil volume 2, then in lose speed, which was entrusted to the realizer Kevin Smith and to Quesada him even with the drawings.
- Black Panther vol.4, by Christopher James Priest and Mark Texeira
- Inhumans vol.2, by Paul Jenkins and Jae Lee
- Punisher vol.4, by Christopher Golden delicious, Tom Sniegoski and Berni Wrightson
Put aside Punisher whose mystical direction was a failure, the other series were big hits. The line increases while Joe Quesada, extremely of his successes took the leading direction of Marvel.
The line since lost its specificity, including even titles devoted to more known heroes like Spider-Man, Captain America, the Four Fantastic ( Marvel Knights 4 ).
At the beginning of 2006, Joe Quesada announced that the label Marvel Knights would be devoted more only to special mini-series, the series Marvel Knights Spider-Man and Marvel Knights Four changing name to become Sensational Spider-Man with the #23 and Four with the #28.

The series
The label also included/understood a baptized series Marvel Knights , putting in scene an informal meeting hero such Black Widow, Dagger, Daredevil, Moon Knight, Shang-Chi and the Punisher. Scénarisée by Charles Dixon and drawn by Eduardo Barreto it lasted 15 numbers. It was translated in numbers 16 to 20 of the review Marvel Knights of Panini
Marvel Knights 2099
In 2004, Marvel Comics launched a series of one-shots under the title Marvel Knights 2099. They were held in a future continuity (in 2099) different from that of Marvel 2099.- Marvel Knights 2099: Daredevil #1.
- Marvel Knights 2099: Black Panther #1.
- Marvel Knights 2099: The Inhumans #1.
- Marvel Knights 2099: The Punisher #1.
- Marvel Knights 2099: Mutant #1.
The magazine
Marvel Knights is also the title of a magazine pubié by Panini which was devoted to the translation of the series of the label Marvel Knights. The magazine lasted 20 numbers between 1999 and 2002.
