Maroun Lahham

Maroun Lahham (rear RTL مارونلحّام), of its complete name Maroun Elias Nimeh Lahham, born the July 20th 1948 with Irbed (Jordan), is the bishop of Tunis since 2005. It thus directs the Diocèse of Tunis.

The June 24th 1972, it is ordered priest of Jerusalem. It is thereafter Fidei donum with Dubai then Vicaire and Curé in Jordan.

In 1992, it receives its Doctorat in pastoral Théologie and Catéchèse with the pontifical Université of Lateran. In 1994, it is promoted vice-chancellor of the Latin seminar of Beit Jala.

The September 8th 2005, it is named by the pope Benoît XVI as bishop of Tunis. It is officially ordered the October 2nd in the parish church of Beit Jala by the Latin Patriarche of Jerusalem Michel Sabbah.
