Marionnettissimo
Creation of association Marionnettissimo in 1989 on an idea of Jean Kaplan and Marina Montefusco by a group of marionnettists and of impassioned.
Objectives
It is a question “of vacuum-cleaning the image of the puppet” by creating a demonstration of reference in the Toulouse agglomeration . The first Marionnettissimo festival takes place in spring 1990 in partnership with many structures of the agglomeration. It will continue on a biennial rate/rhythm.
Reference mark histories 1990 - 2005
- 1990 : signature of a Convention of Cultural development enters the Town of Low wall and the Ministry for the Culture. On proposal of DRAC at the Town of Low wall, the installation of programming of live performances for the young public is entrusted to Marionnettissimo association and is directed by Jean Kaplan. Its success will be growing: of 3.300 spectators the first season with 13.000 currently.
- 1993 : the Town of Low wall orders a study on the construction of an arts center to cabinet AGSP like with the CAUE 31.
- Printemps 1995: Opening of a theater of 200 places in Muret. In accordance with the axes defined in the study AGSP, Marionnettissimo took part in the definition of the schedule of conditions. The opening of this place associated with the installation with the Goûters-Spectacles gives a new dash to the family frequentation of the representations public young person.
- 1997 : First residence of creation of a company with Muret: the Clan of the Dreams. For this operation, the Town of Low wall receives the assistance of the DRAC the Midday-Pyrenees.
- 1998 and 1999: First experiments of prefiguration of programming transcommunale in Labarthe on Lèze and Seysses.
- 2000 : Proposal by the DRAC the Midday-Pyrenees to register this project on the budget 2001 in prefiguration of officially agreed scene.
- January 2001: Presentation of the project by the DRAC with the Midday-Pyrenees Area within the framework of the plan contract state-area.
- September 2001: Signature of a triennial convention between the Town of Low wall and trustful Marionnettissimo with Marionnettissimo a broad part of the municipal theatrical programming which will be centered on the theaters of forms animated as well in direction of the public whole as of the young public which will preserve a privileged place. Integration of the Marionnettissimo festival in the cultural project of the Town of Low wall. Creation of “Théâtrerie “, place of residence in a school closed down in 1998. Reception of an associated Company: the Clan of the Dreams with Théâtrerie. Increase in the appropriations delegated to Marionnettissimo by the Town of Low wall for the realization of the above mentioned missions.
- 2002-2003-2004: Three seasons realization for the Town of Low wall. Reception of companies in residence. Officially agreed education acts AFDAS. Financial conventions with the DRAC and the Midday-Pyrenees Area in order to accompany this project.
- Of 1990 with 2002: Realization of 7 editions of the Marionnettissimo festival. As from 2002, the center of the festival is transferred successfully to Muret.
- November 2004: in spite of excellent the three years assessment of convention, brutal Town of Low wall of the nonrenewal of the convention announces which expires in December 2004. However, season 2004/2005 is continued. Marionnettissimo leaves Muret in July 2005.
- February 2006: signature envisaged of a convention with the Town of Tournefeuille, bearing on the reception of the Marionnettissimo festival by this city.
