Marguerite Boucicaut
Marguerite Boucicaut (born Guerin, the January 3rd 1816, with Verjux, Saône-et-Loire - died the December 8th 1887 with Cannes) is a person of benevolence.
With her husband, Aristide Boucicaut, it exclusively created the provident fund of the employees, fed by the employers' benefit.
With died of her husband, December 26th 1877, it took the direction of Bon Marché, and succeeds in increasing it with an immense quadrilateral.
In 1880, it associated his/her collaborators with the company, created the Company of Bon Marché, and, in 1886, the pension fund of the employees.
With its death, it left its fortune with the Public assistance, load for it to discharge many legacies particular to philanthropic or scientific companies (Pasteur Institute), with the Légion of honor, the remainder having to be employed with the construction of a hospital.
