Marcel Mouloudji
Marcel Mouloudji September 16th 1922 with Paris - June 14th 1994 in Paris was a Chanteur - Compositeur and Acteur French.
Biography
His/her father, kabyle, are originating in Sidi Aïch in Kabylie (Algérie), exert the trade of farmer and are registered with the Communist party. He marries a Breton fundamentalist Catholique which sinks rather quickly in the Alcoolisme and the madness.
He is afflicted with light a Strabisme. He is registered with his André brother in a youth movement (either with Communist youths, or with the red Faucons movement of education of childhood - near to SFIO - and animated by teachers resulting from various currents from the world working, libertarian, co-operative, youth hosteller, anarchist-trade unionist, etc). In 1935, it becomes acquainted with Sylvain Itkine, Director in the Groupe October, organization affiliated to the Federation of the working theaters of France.
It takes part in the artistic life associated with the Popular front with 1936, and lives in semi-clandestinity during the Second world war. He will tell his experiment in the book “Enrico” in 1945 which receives the price of the Pleiad.
In 1938, it appears in the film the Missings of Saint-Agil of Christian-Jaque.
In the cabarets in vogue, he sings Boris Vian or Jacques Prévert, interprets his role in film “Turbid water” of Henri Calef in 1949 and takes part in “Boule of Tallow” (Christian-Jaque, 1947) and “We all are of the assassins” (André Cayatte, 1952). In 1958, it makes its last appearance with the cinema in “Raids on the city” of Pierre Chenal and in a film hispano-Swedish, “Llegaron back hombres”.
Jacques Canetti, celebrates artistic agent and owner of the cabaret the Three Donkeys involves Mouloudji towards success. He makes him record “As a p' tit poppy” which obtains the Grand Prix of the disc 1953 and the Prix Charles-Cross-country race in 1952 and 1953. Even success for example “One day you will see” in 1954 extract of film “Intimate talks”.
Louise Fouquet, known as Lola, is his wife and her artistic agent of 1943 to 1969. It has two children: Grégory Mouloudji with Lilia Lejpuner in 1960 and Annabelle Mouloudji with Nicole Tessier in 1967. Lilianne Patrick is his last partner.
In 1976, it records with the accordionist Marcel Azzola an anthology of the accordion music, “And that turned”.
In 1980 it leaves an album " Unknown Inconnues" and gives innumerable concerts through the country whose media are seldom made the echo. Tired, it devotes more time to the writing and painting, its old loves. One finds it on scene in 1987 in the Elysium Montmartre.
At 70 years, in 1992, a pleurisy removes its voice partly to him. That does not prevent it from leaving an album which will however not have time to be born. In March 1994, it is invited to the Chorus festival of the Hauts-de-Seine in Paris region for a homage. Then it gives an ultimate recital close to Nancy in April.
It dies out on June 14th, 1994 whereas it had many projects on the way: the continuation of its memories 50 years after the first volume and a new album. It is buried with the Cimetière of the Father-Lachaise in Paris.
