Makoto Shishio (志々雄真実) is a character of the Manga Kenshin the vagrant .

He began as expert in saber, engaged by the patriots of Chôshû to be the substitute of Battôsaï the assassin.

His/her companions, fearing his ambition and its force, decided to assassinate it by burning it sharp, but he survived and returned, well decided this time to conquer all the country accompanied by a group of ten experts called the “ten sabers” and by a private army.

When Kenshin, Sanosuké and Hajimé Saïto fights against him in the name of the government with the assistance of Aoshi, Shishio demolishes them all, but he will perish in fact of his too great body temperature which had with his old burns, igniting literally.
