Maide
Maide is a night genius which goes down by the chimney in the kitchens in order to receive the offerings there that one deposits before going to lie down. In Mendive one calls it Saindi Maindi (Holy Maide).
In Soule one allots to this Génie the construction of the Cromlech S and to Mendive that of the Dolmen S of the area. One intends to say more often than these constructions are the fact of the partners of Maide, i.e. the Lamiña K. With Oiartzun (Gipuzkoa/Guipuzcoa) one calls Intxixu (to pronounce inetchichu) the contructeurs of cromlechs of this area which one says that they are their cemeteries. The cromlech is called here Mairubaratz (cemetery of Mairu), but literally: garden of Mairu.
