Macedo de Cavaleiros is a municipality (in Portuguese: concelho or município ) of the Portugal, located in the District of Bragance and the Northern area.
Geography
Macedo de Cavaleiros is bordering:- in north, of Vinhais,
- in the North-East, of Bragance,
- in the east, of Vimioso,
- in the south, of Mogadouro and Alfândega da Fe,
- in south-west, of Villa Flor,
- in the west, of Mirandela.
History
The municipality was created in 1853, by dismemberment of several other municipalities.
