MacDonnell mounts
The mounts MacDonnell (in English, The MacDonnell Arrange ) form a long (644 km) old assembly line of 800 million years in the center of the Australia (23°42 ′ S 132°30 ′ E) in the Territoire of North, directed East-West. It separates Alice Springs into two and is bored at this place by perforated of Heavitree. The highest tops are the Zeil Mount (1 531 m) or Mont Urlatherrke in indigenous language, culminating point of the territory of North and the Mount To probe (1 380 m) or Mont Rwetyepme , both in the western part.
They owe their name in John McDouall Stuart who baptized them name of Sir Richard MacDonnell, governor of the southernmost Australia, when he discovered them in April 1860.
