Mánekenk

The Mánekenks , Haushs or autodénommés Aushs Mánekenks were Amerindian natives who belonged to the ethnos group considered as oldest of the Ground of Fire. Of this fact one supposes to them an origin paléoaméricain E and not Indoaméricain E. If such an assumption is correct, which is very probable, they lived the archipelago fuégien since some 10.000 ans.
They was skilful hunters, of wandering lifestyle. They drove out the Guanaco, and divided many habits with the Onas or Selknams, and among these habits, their weapons, in particular the use of the small arc and stone arrows, as well as clothing containing skins, and the practice of the ritual of initiation of young people called hain .
