Lunigiana
The Lunigiana is a historical area located around the valley of the river Magra, between the provinces of Spezia and that of Mass-and-Carrara marble. Its historical capital was Luni, a city which the Romans founded with the mouths of the river (today, a locality located on the territory of the commune of Ortonovo).
