History

Cité au 12th under the name of " Limmiswiler" , the village belonged to the seigniory of Altkirch (in Ferrette, then of 1324 to 1648 in Habsbourg). Reinach had a castle there (disappeared). There was formerly a Jewish community, with synagog and cemetery
