Lucius II
Lucius II was born with Bologna, under the name of Gherardo Caccianemici dal Orso. After having been cardinal of Holy-Cross of Jerusalem, he was pope of the March 12th 1144 until his death, the February 15th 1145.
He is the second pope of the list of the Prophétie of Saint Malachie under the currency: Inimicus expulsus
Summoned by the partisans of Arnaud de Brescia to give up any temporal sovereignty, he claimed the support of the emperor Conrad III and went itself against Rome with some troops; but it was wounded with died while going up to the attack of Capitole.
