Lucien Fontayne

Lucien Fontayne is a Compositeur French born with Nimes the February 3rd 1865 and deceased the December 29th 1946.

It fu knight of the Legion of honor, directing fee of the conservatory of Nimes, Pianist, Type-setter, Organist and professor of music.

He was received with the Conservatoire of Paris on November 8th, 1884 and was raises class of Antoine Marmontel.

He composed several lyric operas, light operas and legends, of which Damayanti , poem written by J.B. Gheusi and put in music by Lucien Fontayne.

Lucien Fontayne was married in Marie Bertrand, girl of Pasteur André Bertrand, of which it had three children: Lucie Fontayne (Rauzier wife), Pierre and Jean.
