Louis of Laval , lord of Châtillon-in-Vendelais (Ille-et-Vilaine). († August 21st 1489), Baron of Lohéac, Frinaudour of Quemper-Guézennec, the Old man-Market by heritage of his/her brother in 1486, large lord and bibliophile of mark of the 15th century.

Biography
With the service of the king Louis XI, he was governor of the Dauphiné (January 1st 1448 - 1458) then of Champagne (August 4th 1465 - 1472). Baillif and governor of Touraine (1483 - 1484), Large Master of National Forestry Commission the May 18th 1486. Knight of the Order of Saint-Michel the 1469. He died without posterity.
Bibliophile
Sebastien Mamerot was Chapelain of Louis of Laval. Sebastien Mamerot composed or translated many works for his Master, of which Passages of oultre sea of noble Godefroy de Bouillon, the good roy Saint Loys and several virtuous princes , partly legendary compilation on the crusades. Illumination was entrusted by it to Jean Colombe, one of the largest artists of its time, whose Louis of Laval was one of the notorious customers. In the years 1460, it composes a Histoire of the Last nines Preus and the Last nines Preues for the governor of Dauphine, Louis of Laval.
