Louis de France (1276-1319)
Louis de France , (born in 1276 - died the May 19th 1319 with Longpont-on-Barley), count d' Évreux, of Stamps and Beaumont-the-Roger, wire of the king de France Philippe III '' Bold the '' (1245-1285) and of Marie of the Brabant (1254-1321). French of the dynasty capétienne was a prince.
Younger brother of the king Philippe IV '' Beautiful the '', it accepted in prerogative of this one, 1298, 1300 or 1307 (according to the sources…) the County of Évreux.

Biography
Contrary to many its contemporaries, it was a prince attached to peace. It defended with firmness the right of the State against the Church and assisted his brother Philippe IV Beautiful the in its luttre against Boniface VIII.
It took part in 1297 in the campaigns of Flanders, like in 1304 and 1315. Its nephew Philippe V Length set up the county of Évreux in peerage in 1316.

He married in 1301 Marguerite d' Artois (Ca 1285 † 1311), girl of Philippe d' Artois and Blanche of Brittany, and had:

- * Jeanne d' Évreux (1310 † 1371), married in 1325 Charles IV of France (v. 1295-1328)
- * Marie (1303 † 1335), married about 1314 with Jean III of the Brabant (1300-1355)
He is at the origin of the Maison capétienne of Évreux-Navarre.
