Louis Orione
Saint Louis Orione , or Gift Orione (Pontecurone, Italy, June 23rd 1872 – San Remo, March 12th 1940). He became priest on April 13rd 1895. He founded the Small Work of Divine Providence, the Little sisters Missionaries of Charity, the sacramentines blind and the hermits of S. Albert. He was béatifié on October 26th 1980 with Rome by Jean Paul II, and was canonized on May 16th 2004 in Rome by Jean Paul II. Its festival is the March 12th . The centers Gift Orione, devoted to the poor and the patients, are now present in many countries.
Its body is preserved at Santuaire of Notre-Dame of Guarde with Tortona, Italy. It even founded the church in 1931, and today it is the more important church in everyone for the Order of Orione.
