Louis-Jean-Baptist-Etienne Baguenier Desormeaux , (° July 7th 1761, Chammes - April 15th 1836, Maulévrier).
Biography
He is the son of Julien Baguenier Desormeaux , farmer, and of Charlotte Provost, and the brother of Julien-Charles Baguenier Desormeaux and Jean-Charles Baguenier Desormeaux. He married the January 17th 1791, with Brain-on-the Authion where he exerted his art, Marie-Therese of Fontenay , girl of a medical officer of Andard.He is Master in Chirurgie with Angers the November 11th 1790.
He joined with his brothers the Vendean armed , is attached by Bonchamps to the hospital of Saint-Florent-the-Old and joined his older brother Julien-Charles to the station of Mazé, depositing the weapons only to look after the patients and the casualties.
He makes the countryside of in addition to-Loire, and with the honor to be selected to bandage the wounds of the marquis of Lescure and it is in its arms that this one dies in the car which transported it Ernée to Fougères, very close to the borough of Pellerine, the November 3rd 1793.
After the rout of the Mans, he manages to return to the Vendée, joined Henri of Rochejacquelein and Jean-Nicolas Stofflet, and continues his glorious trade of surgeon and soldier. He thus establishes two hospitals for Vendéeens wounded or sick; the first, hidden in a thick hallier in the forest of Vezins, is discovered and ransacked the March 25th 1795 by the republicans; the second, established in that of Maulévrier, knows the same fate the April 21st 1795.
Louis-Jean-Baptist-Etienne Baguenier Desormeaux is named by Stofflet army surgeon and general police chief with the provisioning .
Fact captive and locked up in the Castle of Saumur, it was going to pass before the military commission when it manages to escape. After the Pacification signed by Stofflet the May 2nd 1795 with Ouvrinière (Saint-Florent-the-Old), it is with Maulévrier that it is established as doctor, in the middle of his/her former comrades in arms.
It takes again its functions of surgeon as a chief of the royal army in 1799 and juqu' with peace définitive.
