Long Parliament
The Long Parliament is the name given to the Parlement of England by Charles Ier of England in 1640 according to the Guerres of the bishops. It owes its name with the fact that it sat almost continuously during the First English revolution until in 1653. It is estimated that the single reason for which the King reassembled the Parliament was so that it passes from the laws as for finances, the war having ruined it.
