Locquirec

Locquirec is a common department of the Finistere, in the area Brittany, in France.

Locquirec is a Breton balneal small station located at the limit of Finistere and Coasts of Armor. The village is located on a peninsula which is stretched in bay of Lannion. The sight of the point of Locquirec offers a splendid sight on all the western part of coast Pink the Granite, of the Millau island in Plestin the Strikes, while passing by Trébeurden, Saint Michel in strike and Treduder.

The village is formed around the church and of the marina. The commune of Locquirec shelters several beaches: that of the port, in the center of the village, White Sands, the Mill of Bank… The bay of Locquirec is formed by the mouth of the river the Douron, which separates the two departments.

History

Locquirec was a Trève of Lanmeur wedged in the évêché of Tréguier, belonged to the Doyenné of concerning Lanmeur évêché of Fraud and was under the term of Saint Jacques.
