Literature of XXIe century

We have very little retreat to be able to write on the literature of the 21e century .

The phenomenon of Mondialisation can allow a mixture of the cultures leading to new literary currents, some will perhaps find their noble letters, like the Science-Fiction. The influence of the New technologies can lead to a bringing together between the literature, the other forms of art and information technologies, in new directions. There is an increase in the possibilities of expression and edition, as one sees it with the Cyberédition and the blogs.

At this beginning of XXIe century, the concept of avant-gardes evolved/moved considerably. The old interdicts (of the character, the intrigue, the figuration), related to evolutionary designs (as those of the New Novel) are from now on completed. That is not equivalent for as much to a lapse of memory of the experiments of modernity, with a regression aiming at naturalizing the Balzac code, but rather with a catch of ease (Barthes wrote how much to take its eases was subversive) with respect to these puritan rules. The character, the intrigue, all that returns, but not “like front”, with innocence. The impurity, the artifice exhibé, the referential illusion revealing its processes, here what characterizes great number of current novelists. In spite of a strong tendency to take the Products of the Spectacle for what they are not (namely Flaubert or Huysmans of our time), this beginning of century could be well, for which can make the sorting, one great moment of creation.

In poetry, works of Christian Prigent, Jean-Pierre Verheggen, Julien Blaine, refuse kitsch and sentimentalism as much as illusion of plenitude.

There is also emergence of the numerical New technologies in the artistic and literary practices and appearance of new types of writing transversals, with crossed of the close friend and the policy, mixing poetry, philosophy, theater and proses various, qualified new textualities.
