Liquid air
Liquid air is an industry group French of international scale, specialist in the industrial Gaz and medical.
History
- 1902 : Georges Claude and Paul Delorme develops a process liquefaction of the air in order to separate the components from them. First drops of liquid air and creation of the company of the same name. Paul Delorme is the first president.
- 1906 : Beginning of the international expansion, initially in Belgium and Italy but also in Canada, Japan and HongKong.
- 1913 : Liquid air makes its entry with the Bourse de Paris.
- 1945 : After the war, Jean Delorme, second president of the Group, attempts to give on the way, renovate, develop the industrial tools.
- 1957 : Beginning of the big industry activity and creation of networks of drains irrigating several large industrial basins in the world.
- 1962 : Beginning of the space adventures
- 1986: Deployment in the United States with the acquisition of Big Three and establishment in many countries, in particular in Europe and Asia.
- 1995 : Creation of Liquid air Health: a structure, teams, an offer of medical, material gases and services, completely dedicated to the medical sector, initially to the hospital, then in the residence of the patients.
- 2001 : Repurchase of the activities of Messer Griesheim in South Africa, with Trinidad-and-Tobago, in Canada, in Egypt, in Argentina and in Brazil.
- 2003 : Creation of a Joint venture with BOC in Japan: Japan Air Gases (JAG), reinforcing the presence of the Group on the market native of the Far East.
- 2004 : Repurchase of the activities of Messer Griesheim in Germany, in the United Kingdom and the United States.
- 2007 : Repurchase of the activities of Linde Gas in the United Kingdom
- 2007: Repurchase of the German company of Lurgi engineering, which doubles the Ingénierie capacity of the group
Trades
Big industry
Users of large volumes of Gas and solutions in energy, these customers (Chemistry, Petrochemistry, Refining, Metallurgy) are delivered by direct drains. Liquid air has of it the longest world network (close to: 8000 km).
Industrial customers
Craftsman with SME, these customers use gases in small and average quantities, in very diversified sectors (food, heat treatment of the metals, manufacture of the Verre or Soudage - cutting of metal parts…). These gases are delivered and stored in liquid form, conditioned in Bouteille S or directly produced on the site of the Client S.
Electronics
Liquid air provides to the manufacturers Semi-conducteur S of gases of very high purity, liquids chemical and equipment of implementation of these Fluide S.
Health
In the home care, Liquid air, through its subsidiary companies like VitalAire or Orkyn', ensures the supply of oxygen and the adequate equipment, as well as coordination between the patient and the professionals (the doctor, the nurse, administration…).At the hospital, Liquid air proposes medical oxygen and other gases of which the Protoxyde of nitrogen (used for the Anesthésie S).
The group brings also solutions of Hygiène and Désinfection through its subsidiary companies Anios (France) and Schulke&Mayr (Germany), and of sterilization of the surgical instruments thanks to the know-how of its Omasa subsidiary company.
Complementary fields
Liquid air also provides its services in complementary fields:- welding-cutting (via the company Welding Liquid air);
- the Chemistry of speciality;
- the Plunged underwater.
