Linguistic alternation of code
The codic alternation , or code-switching (of the English code-switching ) is an alternation of two or several linguistic Codes (linguistic languages, dialects, or registers). Alternation can take place at various places of a speech, sometimes even in the middle of a sentence, and generally where syntaxes of the two codes are aligned.
The reasons of this alternation are multiple: the subject of the speech, the mood of the speaking subject, to change the report/ratio of stating between the speakers (to found a complicity for example), to refer to common values. It is necessary to distinguish codic alternation from the lexical Emprunt, which does not show the real will of change to him, but rather a lack of competence in the language and is regarded as pertaining to the language which has it " emprunté".
