Ling Herdsman

Ling Bouvier is a fictitious character of the televised animated series Simpson . It is the adopted girl of Selma Bouvier.
This character appears in the 12th episode of the 16th season, Bébé nem , or Goo Goo Gai Side in original version.
History of its adoption
Selma, which makes pass by again its driving license to Mr. Burns, is sudden catch of puffs of heat. The doctor Hibbert, consulted, explains to him that they are the primary symptoms of the menopause there and that it will not be able to have children any more.Not wanting to finish its life alone, Selma decides to adopt a child. It finds a baby with the orphanage of Springfield; but unfortunately Cletus, the father of the baby, returns to recover it because it had left it by error. Selma is desperate. LISA then advises to him to adopt a Chinese child.
Selma is thus found with the consulate of China to make its application for adoption. Only here, to be able to adopt a child, Selma must be married. Not being it, it marks on the file (without him to have spoken about it) the name of Homer as being her husband. Here is Selma and all the Simpson family in the plane, direction China. During the flight, Selma profits that Homer is under the influence of sleeping pills to acknowledge its lie to him. Homer refuses to be seen allotting Selma as woman but Marge finally manages to convince it.
Arrived to China, Selma and Homer goes to the orphanage. They meet it there responsible, Mrs Wu, who must check that all is in order. Before giving them the baby, it thus will spend a few days with the couple to see the “intimate details of their married life”. Selma presents to Mrs Wu Bart and LISA, then it makes pass Marge for controlling; Homer finds the pretty nickname of Miss October to him.
Mrs Wu makes discover the Chinese culture with Selma and Simpson. The latter benefit from it to visit the Great wall of China, go to theater etc… Mrs Wu asks Homer which is its trade. This one, thinking that it can lie to him since she does not know it, affirms that he is a formidable Chinese acrobat. The group will see a spectacle of acrobatics, but one of the number cannot be carried out because it misses an acrobat. Mrs Wu asks Homer to replace it… It is found on the scene E, obviously, is wounded…
We find it at the hospital. During this time, Selma could recover its baby, and comes to present it to Homer. Small Ling cannot be prevented from groping the eyes to him. Selma thanks Homer for having helped it then a little only leaves it with Marge. But Mrs Wu discovers the pot with the pinks and takes again Ling with Selma.
LISA then develops a plan to recover Ling. Simpson go once again to the orphanage and disguise Homer in statue of Bouddha. The guards make return Homer in the building because they cannot leave a statue outside (it is a bad Feng shui). Homer recovers Ling then from goes away discreetly.
Mrs Wu intercepts them before it set out again and tries to take again Ling; Selma after a fashion manages to convince Mrs Wu to leave him the baby. This one ends up accepting and lets them set out again in Springfield with small Ling…

Ling appeared to date in two other episodes of Simpson: Our Homer which are God (season 17) and The Wife Aquatic (season 18, title in original version).
