Like (in Italian, Como ) is a Italian city, of 83  000 inhabitants, chief town of the of the same province name in Lombardy, area of the Flat of Po, to 45 km in the north of Milan.
Elle is bordered by the lake of the same name.

Geographical location

The mountains (the Alps of Lombardy), and some hills cover the Province of Like. The greatest stretch of water constitutes the Lac of Like.

History

From 1118 to 1128 several wars the Milaneses to Like and Lodi oppose, which they destroyed partly.

Population

In 2001, As counted 78.315 inhabitants (36 805 men and 41.510 women) with a density of 2097,4 personnes/km ² (source: Istituto Nazionale di Statistica).

Anecdote

It is on the heights of As that saw (or lived?) the Cow Gilda , which was used for many publicities for the Milka mark. It is thus not, as opposed to what one could believe, a Swiss cow!
