Comments

  • the series counts only two seasons. This decision is not resulting from problems of audience of the series - precisely very high - but of the will of the creators of the series to stop after sixteen episodes, estimating that it was one sufficient duration to tell the stories which they wished.
  • the title of the series comes from the song éponyme of David Bowie which is listened by Sam Tyler, the main character, at the time of his accident and which it then finds in 1973.

  • One of the counterparts fetishes of the DCI Hunt Gene: " Trust the Gene Genius! " refers to the song The Jean Genie of David Bowie.

  • the song Live and Let Die of Paul McCartney and the Wings appearing in the second episode, was, at the beginning, prohibited of use by the recording company. But during an interview for a magazine, Matthew Graham declared “that it would directly send the episode to Paul McCartney”. Immediately, it obtains the agreement of old the Beatles which “adores”.

  • a Spin-off is designed to continue the series in the Eighty. This one will be called Ashes to Ashes in reference in the name of an other song of David Bowie.
