Lierneux

Lierneux (in Walloon Lierneu ) is a common French-speaking of Belgium located in Walloon region in the Province of Liege.

The commune counted at July 1st 2004 3354 inhabitants (1.729 men and 1.634 women) for a surface of 92,07 km ². It is sprinkled by the Lienne. A charming river which counts a rather great number of superb corner of sins. Following the example Geel (province of Antwerp), the locality very early accommodated an open psychiatric institution. The village has had a mentality of reception for more than 100 years and the patients who are placed either in families or which live with the " colonie" are generally very happy!

Lierneux has ski slopes alpine and of ski touring, the ski slope alpine " The monty" have besides several goes up slope. The routes of ski touring rather various and are varied just as the many circuits of hike.
