Liddes

Liddes is a common Suisse of the Canton of Were worth, located in the District of Entremont. In winter, a skiable field offers gravitational tracks to it.

School

The village of Liddes has an elementary school. For the secondary school the children move in Orsières

Church and Vaults

The village of Liddes is surrounded by two vaults, one in North dedicated to St-Laurent and one in the south dedicated to St-Etienne. The principal church being dedicated to St-Georges. The employers' festival is on April 23rd.

The village Bank-High has also its vault, as well as the village of Chandonne. The village of Dranse has an oratory recently.

Geography

Situation: Liddes is delimited in the south by Bourg St-Pierre in the east by Bagnes in the west and north by Orsières

The commune is located on the international axis of the St-Bernard. The village of Liddes is before last village before the tunnel and the collar of the Large-St-Bernard which lead in Italy (Aosta).
