Licinius
Licinius ( Flavius Galerius Valerius Licinianus Licinius ) (v. 250 - 325) was Roman Emperor of 308 with 324.
He is of origin Dace, born in Mésie higher.
He resided at Nicomédie and reigned on the oriental party of the Roman Empire. In 313, it in common published with Constantin I {{er}} the edict of religious tolerance, usually called edict of Milan.
In 324 Constantin, benefitting from his old advanced and rumors of corruption, declares the war with Licinius. This one is beaten with the battles naval of Turkey-red cotton (July 3rd 324). Interned with Thessalonique, he is assassinated shortly after.
