Leonard Wibberley
Leonard Francis Wibberley (1915 - 1983) is an Irish author, born with Dublin, and representative of the " literature moyenne" in the terminology of Pierre Bourdieu. One can describe it as amused moralist: with a discrete humor, it treats political questions, psychological and ethics of topicality.
Its book more known, the Mouse which howled (The Mouse that roared), puts in scene a small duchy living at the XXe century as in the full Middle Ages, the Grand Fenwick. The success of this novel - which knew the honors of the film adaptation - determined Wibberley to locate other narrations in this small European State.
Wibberley, which also had an activity of journalist, wrote more than 50 books for children, generally under the pseudonym of Christopher Webb. He also wrote under the pseudonym of Patrick O' Connor.
