Leonard Calvert

Leonard Calvert (1606 - 1647) wire of George Calvert.

It went in 1634 to take possession of these grounds, with the head of a troop of Catholique S, there founded a colony which soon became flourishing, and was made baron, then count of Baltimore. The colonists gave in recognition the name of Baltimore to a city which is today one of most important of America.

The descendants of Calvert preserved the government of the Maryland until รข the time of independence.
