Legal settlement
Out of matter politico-nun, a legal settlement (of the Latin medieval concordatum , “agreement, treaty”) is a treaty signed between a State and the the Holy See (or between the king and the pope for modern Europe) with an aim of organizing the activities of the Roman Catholic church in the country signatory (or certificated ). According to the political situation of the country, and the state of its relations with the the Vatican, the legal settlement can comprise liberal clauses and others more restrictive.
