Laurent Béraud

Laurent Béraud (1703, Lyon - 1777) was a Jésuite French.

He was named in 1740 directing of the observatory of his birthplace, made some astronomical observations and formed Jean-Etienne Montucla, Joseph Jerome Lefrançois de Lalande and Charles Bossut.

He gave:

  • the Physical of the bodies animated , 1755
  • of scientists Memories on the cause of the increase in weight that certain matters acquire in the Calcination and on the cause and the effects of the magnet, the thunder and electricity.
