Lanarvily
Lanarvily ( Breton Lannarvili in ) is a common department of the Finistere, in the area Brittany, in France.
Lanarvily is located in Finistere north, with a score of kilometers in the north of Brest. Rural district of a surface of 5,9 km ², the agricultural activity is especially directed towards the productions dairy and market-gardening. In 2004, the population rose with 312 inhabitants.
History
Lanarvily was a Trève of Kernilis, belonged to the archidiaconé of concerning Kemenet-Ily évêché of Leon and was under the term of Saint Gouesnou. It is resulting from a dismemberment of the primitive parish of Plouguerneau.
Monuments
The Saint-Gouesnou church, built in XVe century, and restored in 1856. The building preserves original vault of XVe century the sacristy and its door, and probably the pinion of the southern transept. Inside, statues out of polychrome wooden, oil on fabric of the scene of the crucifixion.
Events
Each year, generally in Lanarvily, January organizes a competition of Cyclo-cross. The first edition was held in 1958. Lanarvily organized a championship of Brittany (1965), three championships of France (1973, 1996,2007) and a championship of the World (1982). During 50 tests disputed since 1958, the circuit of Mingant accommodated the specialists in the discipline, as well as champions of French and international cycling (Bernard Hinault, Ronan Pensec, Miguel Martinez, Roger De Vlaeminck, Adri Van Der Poel, Daniele Pontoni…). The organization of the competition mobilizes the many voluntary ones (more than 400 for the championship of France of 2007, for a commune of 350 inhabitants).
